The site meeting “China Cancer Screening Trial Feasibility Study” has been hold in Hunan Cancer Hospital

The on-the-spot meeting "China Cancer Screening Trial Feasibility Study" has been hold in Hunan Cancer Hospital on October 20, 2014, which will last three days. To assess the usefulness of screening method of lung cancer and colorectal cancer, “China Cancer Screening Trial Feasibility Study”was conducted by the National Cancer Center of China,  in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute of United States. Currently, three provinces have joined "China Cancer Screening Trial Feasibility Study", which are Zhejiang province, Gansu province and Hunan province. That meeting was intended to improve the implementation process according to summarize the progress and solve problems by communication.

The experts from the National Cancer Institute of United States, the National Cancer Center of China, and representatives from other two provinces attended this meeting, approximately 30 people . On opening ceremony, Jingshi Liu who is the president of Hunan Cancer Hospital and the director of the Hunan Department Cancer Prevention had a welcoming words to every experts and representatives, and fully believed that Hunan center could complete this study successfully by everyone’s efforts. Then, three representatives of screening spot had a progress report respectively. What's more, on behalf of hunan center, Xian zhen Liao, the vice director of Hunan Department Cancer Prevention, gave a analysis report about the achievement and several shortcomings. Finally, American experts gave an optimum proposal by communication with representatives.

In the next two days, this meeting will held focusing on details of this study and make field survey in a community.
